Alexi Fournier
Alexi Fournier is a dedicated clarinetist and music educator currently pursuing a Master of Music in Music Education at the Longy School of Music of Bard College, with an expected graduation in 2026. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Northwest Missouri State University in 2023, where she was an active leader both on and off the stage.
During her undergraduate years, she held the position of Drum Major for the Bearcat Marching Band and served as the principal clarinetist in various ensembles. Her excellence as a performer was recognized statewide when she was selected as the principal clarinetist for the Missouri Music Educators Association (MMEA) All-Collegiate Orchestra. She was also deeply involved in leadership and professional organizations, including Sigma Alpha Iota (SAI), Kappa Kappa Psi (KKY), and the National Association for Music Education (NAfME).
From 2023 to 2025, she taught in the Martensdale-St. Marys Community School District, where she shared her passion for music with young students and helped develop the next generation of musicians. Outside of teaching and studies, she continues to perform as a member of the Greater Des Moines Community Band.
With a strong foundation in performance, leadership, and education, she brings energy and experience to the clarinet studio, inspiring her students to grow both musically and personally.
